Game Review
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is the sequel to the famous arcade developed by Atari in 1983. The cabinet of The Empire Strikes Back was released in 1985, as an upgrade to the first one.
The porting to home computers happened 3 years later, in 1988, more or less in parallel with the other 2 games inspired to the original trilogy (Star Wars and The Return of the Jedi). If the third game is completely different, The Empire Strikes Back uses the same engine of the first game, a first person 3D shooter with wireframe vector graphics, but with different content and some new features.
This time you are on the planet Hoth and you have to destroy probe droids and Imperial walkers, just like the movie. Later you will pilot the Millennium Falcon against TIE Fighters.
Unlike the arcade, the home computer version of The Empire Strikes Back was a hit and it collected very positive reviews from different magazines.
On this Amiga version, you will control the game with the mouse.
